Al-Zahar told Qodsna: Hamas and national unity government will never recognize Israel
A senior Hamas leader, Dr Mahmoud al-Zahar affirmed Gaza-based government (Hamas) and new national unity government will not recognize Zionist regime. On the sideline of one day-long conference on violation of human rights by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip being held at the Esteqlal Hotel, northern Tehran, attended by a large number of domestic and international lawyers, judges and university professors, al-Zahar informed Qodsna about agreement for formation of national unity government said, ‘We are discussing all the items concerning national unity government. It is technocrat government which will be according to national agreement.’ Problem is not on the formation of unity government but is on program and its agenda which should be implemented, he said. National unity government will be approved by all Palestinian factions, Hamas official said. We are looking to form this government as soon as possible, Al-Zahar added. Hamas official describes reforming Palestinian organizations and preparing for new elections as the aims of the national unity government. This government will not recognize Israel, he stressed, recognition will not be our intention and we are not intent to accept it or encourage recognizing occupation forces. Al-Zahar reiterated that National unity government will not recognize Israel and previous agreement what already been agreed between Palestinian liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel. “Israeli is a foreign body and it is natural that foreign body should be rejected.” ‘Israel regime is not belongs to the area ideologically and politically’, Hamas leader said, added ‘Israeli regime every day commits crimes against Palestinians
Larijani: Israel must stop ‘adventurism’
Head of IRI Parliament urges global actions against Zionist regime to prevent Tel Aviv from pursuing a ‘new policy of adventurism’ against Palestinians. “Currently, the major issues regarding Palestine are helping Gazans in urgent need of humanitarian aid and holding Israel back from adopting a new policy of adventurism,” Majlis Speaker, Ali Larijani told reporters on Tuesday. Larijani to chair a two-day international “Palestine: Manifestation of Resistance, Gaza: Victim of Crimes” conference, starting March 4, in Tehran. Zionist regime launched a 22-day offensive on Gaza in Dec. 2008 which left nearly 1,330 Palestinians dead, the majority of whom were civilians. Zionist regime’s officials have been under fire from many international NGOs and human rights organizations for the massive attack.
